The aim of «klaxon» is to capture and make permanent the ephemeral art of music. This first Swiss music magazine for children is aimed at young people from six to twelve, together with the adults around them. Accordingly each issue contains not just contributions by composers and musicians but also by children who are discovering, investigating and questioning the world of music.
«klaxon» is the brainchild of music teacher Regula Stibi, journalist Sieglinde Geisel and music manager Alexia Katharina Berchtold. Depending on the subject articles are contributed by experts from both Switzerland and neighbouring countries, while the music which is discussed in the magazine can be heard on the website.
«klaxon» appears three times a year in German, French and Italian and is available from selected music shops and children's bookshops in Switzerland and Germany at a price of CHF 5.-, from the Pro Juventute online shop, or by subscription.
