In 1968 the German Designer and artisan Peter Raacke designed the first piece of cardboard furniture. Nowadays, this very first cardboard-collection called „seats for the unpropertied" can be found in the MOMA, the Vitra Design-Museum oder in the German Technik-Museum.
Raackes cardboard chairs inspired many other designers of his time which started using cardboard as a material for their furniture designs – like for example Frank O. Gehry with his „Easy Edges" collection.
Together with the manufacturer Pulpo, the German online-design-shop Markanto produced a limited series of 20 of the classical Otto chairs by Peter Raacke. The edition with the cranberry finish is available only at Markanto (RAL 3003). Every piece of the limited collection is labeled with ist serial number.
