What was financially unfeasible over 35 years ago is now possible: Vitra introduces the Panton Junior, whose production is based on the original plans of Verner Panton.
Recognizing the overwhelming success of the Panton Junior Chair, Vitra asked several of their prestigious designers to create a matching junior table. Hella Jongerius presented the Porcupine Table which has been revealed this week at Milano furniture fair. Kidsmodern was on site and provides you with a first portrayal:
The table has two parts: a large part with a natural finish and a small part painted in dark green with a drawer and a secret compartment. A white sketch drawing connects small wholes that can accomodate crayons, pens, and pencils and joins them in one big pearl necklace.
