Villa is a traditional Italian manufacturer of bent wood home accessories.
Now they present their first piece of furniture at the Salone del Mobile in Milan:
The VIP chair, for the most important persons in our lives, the children.
Swedish Designer Carl-Magnus Persson, an old friend of the company-owner of villa,
had the idea to modify the classical wooden boxes to transform them into a chair.
The design of the VIP chair has another historical background.
The technique to shape wood along the grain derived from the method of constructing percussion instruments. The father of the owner of Villa was a craftsman and constructed percussion instruments.
The VIP children´s chair is still a prototype, but will be available from July 2007.
