Pepper-mint Design Director Patricia Adler is well-known for her interactive product concepts, including the acclaimed Qube' modular storage system and the Palazzo' flat-pack acrylic chandelier. Always looking to encourage participation in one's own, personal space, she says, Most recently, I have been exploring ways in which wall space may be used for spontaneous creative expression seeing it as a canvas for anyone's latent-artist.
An inspired journey has led to the creation of a new product, named MagScapes. An ingenious, magnet-receptive wallpaper that, as if by magic, allows decorative magnetic motifs to adhere to the wall. The paper, even with its unique magnet-receptive properties, is still light and flexible enough to be hung, using paste, like any ordinary wallpaper.
The specially designed papers and decorative motifs set no pre- determined arrangement limitations, facilitating and inviting playful creative acts that immediately change one's environment.

Recognising that a magnetic wallpaper would naturally appeal to children, it has been ensured that the product conforms to the strictest health & safety regulations, making MagScapes suitable for the whole family.
The MagScapes system was launched at 100% Design in September 2005, featuring three exciting wallpaper designs and matching magnet sets
Jeremy Lee, Sales Director of Pepper-mint, said: Pepper-mint will continue creating new designs for the retail market and offer bespoke services using the patent pending, MagScapes technology.
Pepper-mint are now focused on targeting the contract market. Architects, interior designers and developers have all expressed interest in using the plain MagScapes paper for venues as varied as hotels, conference centres, office board rooms, schools, nurseries and bars.
To meet the exacting demands of the contract market Pepper-mint have partnered with Service Graphics Ltd., a 400 strong UK leader in large format printing and precision cutting services. "We see our partnership with Service Graphics as a means to access the exhibition and events markets as well as serve contract clients with a capable implementation service" says Jeremy Lee.
